Rain

It’s January 25.  It’s raining today, like a mo-fo!  I’m not one to dismiss global warming, but a downfall like what we’re expected to get today surely must be an indicator.  When I woke up this morning this song was in my head and so I thought I’d share it all with you.  It’s off Hawksley Workman’s album Treeful of Starling (iTunes link).  This album, as far as I can tell, was recorded in Huntsville in an old school house that he fixed up on his own and turned into a recording studio.  It’s got to be one of my favourite Hawksley albums.  Enjoy!

The Sunday Post

There’s nothing quite like a Sunday evening at home. It was a wonderful weekend considering the sickness and colds that have been hanging around. I sit here fresh out of the shower, toys spread across the floor, blogging on my iPhone and drinking from a Nalgene bottle with a Heineken sticker on it. Ahh! I tell ya folks, nothing beats today, especially not tomorrow for I failed to mention the tickle in my throat. I am holding out though, I have faith that I will rise above the rivers of snot and the hacking and heaving of lungs. I will over come I tell you!! Also, some vitamin C will help. So please excuse me as I get some of that and sit down to a lovely evening of television with my lovely love, Kate (pictured below with Cameron, my eldest son). Happy Sunday Everyone!!

A rediscovered weblog

A few days back, as in almost a week, I decided to start a blog.  I then went to Blogger and set one up there but then quickly realized that Blogger is a piece of JuNk!  I knew that Wordpress would be where I would end up I then remembered that I once started a blog at Wordpress.  I typed the url in and lo’ and behol’, IT WAS STILL ACTIVE.  So I found my login info and, well, you know the rest.  I will update this blog as I see fit and tell you what I’m doing.  I’ve never been good at it, so you can all, whomever you are, suck it up and hope that I remember to update it.
